DESMA Automation & Peripheral Equipment


In recent years, the rubber molding industry has demanded that manual labor be eliminated from typical molding operations that were performed in years past.  DESMA has recognized the needs of the market and has designed and engineered standard periphery equipment for performing various tasks associated with our injection molding machines. These tasks include automatically shuttling plates in and out of our presses, automatic brushing and mold lubing systems, runner demolding solutions and various other automated solutions. 

Special requirements call for special solutions. DESMA can equip a standard machine with various accessories that will result in a process that is tailored to the product. DESMA Project Engineering Department & Turnkey Solutions


Due to increasing demand for technical support and turn-key project applications, DESMA has has a full-time Project Engineering Staff located in our Hebron, KY and German locations. Working with the customer, our project engineering groups in Fridingen and Hebron analyze part design and production requirements to define the most appropriate machine and equipment for the individual customer's requirements. Our long experience with all types of molded parts ensures that they will put together the right combination of machinery and tooling to yield successful results.

Molding concepts and tooling design can be tested by trial molding on our machines, both during the initial planning and process development phases and later after the equipment is built. For this our research and development department includes a lab with a variety of  injection molding machines of different types and sizes.

In cooperation with our customers and our manufacturing facility in Germany, we can develop nonstandard machines to meet specialized requirements. Our design group of over thirty engineers and technicians, supported by advanced CAD and programming work stations are experienced in adjusting the modular components of our designs to meet individual customer needs.
