The
newly developed machine DESMA 968 BENCHMARK 750 sets a new standard
with only 750 mm operating height (floor - top edge of heating
platen) and a fully hydraulic clamping system. With an opening stroke up to 830
mm, as well as a strip material intake height of 2.150 mm (up
to 10.000 cm³ injection unit) the BENCHMARK sets the standards of the future. By adding
a combination of multiple hydraulic pumps and electric drives, several
hydraulic movements can be accomplished simultaneously in an effort to
save cycle time. This machine stands out because of
a completely new and patent pending fully hydraulic clamping system which is setting new standards regarding
ergonomic machine operations. |

The basis of this machine
development was to do without platforms, pits or ladders with larger machine sizes of 400, 560,
750, and 1000 tons. Comparable machines of our competitors are ranging between
1.100mm (3.6 Feet) and 1.450mm (4.7 Feet). Furthermore, we succeeded in producing a stroke of 830 mm with a minimum mold height of 160 mm.
This is also unequalled in the molding machine industry. With this development we made it possible
to completely do away with platforms and foundations. This means an enormous saving in space and increased flexibility when
machines have to be relocated or new halls are planned.
We feel that this machine development offers a distinct considerable advantage over the products of our competitors.
