DESMA Injection Units

DESMA supplies several different designs of injection units, which are optimized for different machine and processing requirements. All DESMA injection units are based on the FIFO (First-In-First-Out) principle. The material first plasticized will be the first injected into the mold. The stock temperature can be set higher due to the more consistent dwell time of the compound in the injection unit. This higher injection temperature can result in considerably reduced cure time and consequently increased output. The compact design and the very good accessibility to the injection units allow rapid cleaning and compound changes.

Our most popular injection unit, the patented FIFO A, is the choice for large injection volumes. The FIFO A is unequalled in operating convenience. A retractable nozzle is standard.

The FIFO B injection unit is frequently used on our horizontal machines as well as machines which inject into the parting line. A retractable nozzle is standard.

The FIFO C

The FIFO C injection unit is designed for the smallest injection volumes. The rubber flowpath is minimized with a non-retractable injection unit. The FIFO C system is used for C-Frame machines and small machines producing high tolerance parts.

The FIFO D

The FIFO D injection unit is designed for the smallest injection volumes. The short flowpath is ideal for high precision seals.

Our FIFO A & FIFO B injection units can be converted to run liquid silicone rubber. We can work with your pumping system supplier of choice to ensure a smooth interface between the pumping system and the machine. 

Our LSR machines have a distinct advantage over competitor machines when the process requires a large shot volumes (2lbs.-30lbs.).
